Summer fun 2012!!!!

This July we went to the states for 3 weeks full of fun!!! We started off in San Diego then went to Sacramento to see my Dad and then off to see my mom and some of her family. We had so much fun, we wished that Chris could have been with us for more, but duty calls. Here are some posts of our trip. Enjoy!

My dad, Cooper and I. This was taken by Brock.
The boys had so much fun at grandpa Partridges house, it was full of fun and adventure. Grandpa went and bought 6 baby chicks for his coup and the boys instantly claimed which one was theirs. Zander my funny man wanted them to lay eggs really bad, and was asking grandpa when they were going to lay some. Grandpa told him that they were too little and that it would be a while before they started laying eggs. A bit later Zander comes running over to us at the pool so excited saying that the chickens had layed eggs. So Brock goes running over and confirms that it was true there were eggs in the coup. My dad kept saying no it is impossible as we went walking over, and sure enough there were 2 eggs. We all stood there for a minute and then my dad says to Zander, you went and got those out of the fridge didn't you? Zander tried hard not to smile, but indeed the little bugger had gone inside and taken 2 eggs from the fridge and put them in with the chickens. He had us going for a minute though. Funny guy!
 Brock and his chick.
Cooper thought the chicks were fun to look at, but nothing more. He would freak out if you put one on him or tried to make him hold one.
My dad has a fantastic pool in his backyard, with 100 degree temps, that is where we stayed all day.  My brother Taft has this dog that loves the pool and as long as the kids were in the pool he was right there with them, it was the craziest thing. The boys thought it was pretty fun.
The boys with my brother Clark getting ready to dive into the pool.
Ok so my dad makes the best carmel popcorn in the world, he made the kids the biggest bowl of it and the kids had fun helping as well.
Oh my little Cooper he is my scardy cat! He was quite content just sitting on the steps at the pool, forget jumping in like his big brothers.
The boys loved jumping off this bridge into the pool.
 Zander jumping over Cooper!
Cooper did not like this at all, but grandpa had to torchure him a bit!
It was only a matter of time until the kids would find grandpas tools, and boy did they have fun with the jack hammer. Brock thought this was so cool he spent hours taking up the rocks for grandpa.
Zander thought it was fun for a few tries and then was off to do something else.
Next it was off to the lake to jet ski. Grandpa was brave and let Zman drive solo, luckily they made it back safe.
Brock and Grandpa, coming back from doing some cheerios in the water.
 Dad and Z.
Zander found this giant branch and used it as a floating device in the water. Who needs those expensive toys right?
Cooper loved the lake, no waves and plenty of dirt to play with.
Sitting poolside watching his crazy brothers!

Summer fun part 2!

While on our trip I was able to go see some of my my family as well in Sacramento. We all gathered at my Aunt Jills house and my mom and her parents were able to come as well. The boys had a great time at my aunts, her house is a little boys dream come true! Lots of space, horses, play ground, soccer field, basketball, cows, dogs and more.

Zander just loved my aunts dogs, she has two very gentle and patient dogs that he played with all day. I was so sad for him because we had to give away our dog before we left, so it broke my heart to see him with these dogs. Zander is my animal lover.
The last morning we were there I found Brock in bed with my aunt Jills son. I guess he felt like family!!!!! Poor Nathaniel he was good with my boys.
My Aunt has two beautiful horses that my boys were fascinated with, and could not wait to ride. Cooper loved feeding them snacks, and was so good getting on this giant horse.
 Brock going for a ride!
Cooper thought the helmet was too cool.
Zander going for his ride, he absolutely loves horses and kept wanting to go faster!!! I need to find him a horseback riding class. Zander would go out to the stables and hold the horses faces and just love and kiss them, it was really sweet.
The boys getting ready to ride.
My grandma and grandpa being led by Cooper!
 Grandma and Grandpa Vance.
Cooper stole grandpas hat and thought it was great fun.
Cooper just fell in love with his grandpa Vance, they would sit together and Cooper would lead him all over the place. I was trying to get Cooper to go to bed and he would not have it, until grandpa told him he was leaving to go to the hotel and then Cooper told me it was time for bed. It was sweet to see them together and bond so quickly.
The boys had fun riding around the property in this go kart.
The neighboring cow was calling attention to the boys. I was so glad that my boys were able to meet some of my family since it is not often since we are so far away. We had a blast and hope to do it again next year!

Summer Fun 2012 Part 3!

Cooper and and his little cousin having a blast in the tub after a day of fun!!!
Man is it hard being 2!!!!! Vacations are so much work, thanks grandpa for letting me use you as a pillow!
Cooper having a chat with his grandma Jo!
Look monkeys at the zoo! Opps nope it is just my monkeys. The boys had a great time at the zoo with their cousins, so glad for fun family.
It was fun chasing 6 kiddos around with my sis in law Em, but we had fun and no one got lost. Cooper did throw his shoe off the bus as we took a tour around the zoo, so not cool. Luckily we found it, thanks to my brother in law Cam.
Brock watch out your going to get smashed!
 Zander you too!
I have two really cool sisters that were really kind and would get up at the crack of dawn to go running with me so we can get ready for our half marathon in october. So the boys would see me every morning after my run, and kept asking when I was going to take them out for a run. Especially since they have been glued to the olympics as well. One evening Grandpa, Em and I took all the kids to the track to go for their run. Here they are stretching with Gramps.

Cooper would not put down his snack to go for his run!
 Ready set Go!!!!
A little motivation from poppy! Brock did a mile run for his first time and finished under 10 min. We were so proud of him, keep it up Brock.
Zander my energizer bunny pooped out after 2 laps!
 Some fun at the mall.
Gotta love some fun things for the kids at a shopping mall.
The first weekend we arrived we were able to get the whole family together in Rancho Cucamonga where we are building our house. We took everyone on a tour and then played the whole weekend together. It was the first time in 4 yrs that Chris and his whole family have been together. It was so fun to have everyone together.
Tameryn and cooper!!!
